To Fulfill The Need To Be,
Who I Am In This World, Is All I Ask,
I Can't Pretend To Be Something I'm Not,
And I Won't Wear A Mask,
You've Touched My Face With Love In Your Eyes,
But Will You Touch My Heart
With The Understanding That It Takes To Realize,
I Just Can't Play A Part.
There's The Need To Be True To Myself
And Make My Own Mistakes,
And Not To Lean Too Hard On Someone Else,
No Matter What It Takes.
So If You're Sure It's Love, Just Be Sure It's Love,
For This Thing Called Me,'Cause I Am What I Am,
And I Have The Need To Be!
I'm Not Fool Enough To Ever Think,
That I Could Be The Master Of My Fate,
But It's Up To Me To Choose My Roads In Life,
Rocky May Well Be The Ones I Take.
There's The Need To Be Something More
Than Just A Reflection Of A Man,
I Can't Survive In Someone's Shadow,
I Need My Own Spot To Stand.
So If You're Sure It's Love, Just Be Sure It's Love,
For This Thing Called Me, I Am What I Am,
And I Have The Need To Be!

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

I think it's been about 2 weeks since I was able to get out. We've been snowed in for the most part. Bruce, Lynn and even Christopher go their ways; work, school, store; but for me, I'm deathly afraid of falling. We've had snow for the past couple of weeks. Since I broke my ankle that one year, I am petrified of going out till it all melts. The worse part of it is the temperature doesn't go up above freezing. 32○. So I stay in my warm comfty home. I know some of you would have gotten cabin fever way before this but I'm content staying put. There's so much I can do here.
♥ Valentine's Day ♥ is coming, I have some sweet treats up my sleeve. One of my Valentine wishes will be to have a candlelight dinner with shrimp cocktail as the appetizer just to name a few. WooHoo!! Hmmm. . . maybe I'll even get that massage I've been wanting. heheee.
MAYBE IF YOU'RE GOOD SOME OF YOUR WISHES
WILL COME TRUE!

MY DAUGHTER, PATTI ♥
My Daughter, aka Purple Patti is truly and literally going places and has come a long way since she started umpteen years ago.
When she was 16, she got a summer job at "Camp Lenape" as an aide in taking care of handicapped children. I remember when she came home that day, she raved about how her day went. She knew there and then that this is where she is meant to be. This is her calling in life. To be there for all the handicapped children in her district and then some. It truly takes a special person to be able to do what she does and God knew what He was doing when He put her in this field. She makes a difference in the lives of everyone she meets especially on a daily basis! Today, she's now in the Kent County school district as president of the Para-Teachers Association and gets to go to conferences all over our nation. She met our Vice President already and is voicing her opinion in this video clip on U Tube... Check it out!
I ♥ love ♥ you Patti, and I am SOOOO proud of you and all your accomplishments. Including your weight loss battle. It goes to show you that anyone can do anything when you put your mind around it!
Patti writes: "We had a State Wide Rally the other night discussing all the pay cuts that the Governor of Delaware is proposing. They went around and asked people what an 8% cut would mean to them. So check out my reaction to the 8% salary cut on You Tube".

A CONCERNED GRANDMOM!

Car seats and booster seats are required by law whenever you transport a child, in a car, under the age of eight and the weight of 80 pounds. Why then, are not even seat belts required on school buses that carry children as young as five for kindergarten, or in the case of special services and private preschools as young as three?
Do you remember a couple of years ago when four teens were killed in Alabama and many others injured when a school bus went over the edge of a highway overpass and fell below to the street, flinging students out of their seats?
One main reason that school buses don't have seat belts is because it would limit the capacity of the bus. (Big Deal!) Many school districts expect three small children to share one seat, therefore requiring fewer buses. With seat belts, you are limited to two children per seat. (Not necessarily! Install three seat belts!) This may force the school district because of limited funds to extend the range of those who are not eligible for bus transportation, forcing students to walk or bike, and this may not only be an inconvenience but also a safety hazard. (I think they're missing the safety hazard point here...the lack of seat belts!)
Where do you stand on this issue? Should school buses have seat belts?
I found this article when I went to Google images. I read it through and it doesn't make sense to me. There should still be a law to use seat belts on school buses. Why can't they put three seat belts on one seat? One for each small child and if there will only be two older kids, let them just use 2 of the belts. No biggy! I rather see them in seat belts rather than flown from their seat to God only knows where on the bus in case of an accident. I don't like the fact that they haven't done anything about this concern yet! Buses have been around for a long time already. And as far as accidents, most of them, if not all have been pretty brutal. Maybe if we all get together and present our concerns, they may do something about this major topic... especially for parents, and grandparents.
Just wanted to vent!!

EASY vs. HARD
Why are we so sleepy in church but right
when the sermon is over we suddenly wake up?
Why is it so easy to delete a Godly e-mail,
but yet we forward all of the nasty ones.
Of all the free gifts we may receive, Prayer is the very
best one. There are no costs, but wonderful rewards.
Isn't it funny how simple it is for people to trash God
and then wonder why the world's going to hell.
Isn't it funny how someone can say "I believe in God" but
still follow Satan (who, by the way, also "believes" in God).
Isn't it funny how you can send a thousand jokes
through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but
when you start sending messages regarding the Lord,
people think twice about sharing?
Isn't it funny how we can be more worried about
what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.
I pray, for everyone who believes God is THE answer;
For they will be blessed by God in a special way just for them.
