WHO'S ON FIRST TODAY

You have to be old enough to remember Abbott and Costello, and too old to really understand computers to fully appreciate this. For those of us who sometimes gets flustered by our computers, Please read on...

If Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were alive today, their famous sketch, "Who's On First?" might go something like this:

Costello calls to buy a computer from Abbott:

Abbott: Super Duper Computer Store. Can I Help You?
Costello: Thanks. I'm Setting up an Office in My Den and I'm Thinking about Buying a Computer.
Abbott: Mac?
Costello: No, the Name's Lou.
Abbott: Your Computer?
Costello: I Don't Own a Computer. I Want to Buy One.
Abbott: Mac?
Costello: I Told You, My Name's Lou.
Abbott: What about Windows?
Costello: Why? Will it Get Stuffy in Here?
Abbott: Do You Want a Computer with Windows?
Costello: I Don't Know. What Will I See When I Look at the Windows?
Abbott: Wallpaper.
Costello: Never Mind the Windows. I Need a Computer and Software.
Abbott: Software for Windows?
Costello: No. On the Computer! I Need Something I Can Use to Write Proposals, Track Expenses and Run My Business. What Do You Have?
Abbott: Office.
Costello: Yeah, for My Office. Can You Recommend Anything?
Abbott: I Just Did.
Costello: You Just Did What?
Abbott: Recommend Something.
Costello: You Recommended Something?
Abbott: Yes.
Costello: for My Office?
Abbott: Yes.
Costello: Ok, What Did You Recommend for My Office?

Costello: Yes, ! For My Office!
Abbott: I Recommend Office with Windows.
Costello: I Already Have an Office with Windows! Ok, Let's Just Say I'm Sitting at My Computer and I Want to Type a Proposal. What Do I Need?
Abbott: Word.
Costello: What Word?
Abbott: Word in Office.
Costello: the Only Word in Office Is Office.
Abbott: the Word in Office for Windows.
Costello: Which Word in Office for Windows?
Abbott: the Word You Get When You Click the Blue "W".
Costello: I'm Going to Click Your Blue "W" If You Don't Start with Some Straight Answers. What about Financial Bookkeeping? You Have Anything I Can Track My Money With?Abbott: Money.

NO MORE PAIN

Hi There Guys;

I wanted to let you all know that Ellen passed away this morning around 7:30. She was in the Hospice section of the hospital. . .

We saw her over last weekend and when we went to visit her this past Wednesday, you could see in just 3 days how rapidly she was failing. I talked with her nurse and while we were there, I saw to it that Ellen be baptized. She never has been as a child. The Chaplain of the hospital came in and asked her if she wanted to be Baptized. She said yes. We've been talking about it for a while now and the opportunity never presented itself... Til now. Her honey, Rocky, her (BBB) Bruce and I were there with her. Along with Baptizing her, the Chaplain anointed her with oil, n gave Ellen her last rights.

On behalf of our whole family, I want to thank all of you for your prayers, your love and your support you have given her through her journey. Ellen has gone through soooo much pain and trauma. She kept bouncing back, pulling through all she had to endure, and fought it with all her might for such a long, long time. I know she couldn't have gone through it all without your Faith and support.

I hate this part of life, and it doesn't get any easier to bear each time we have to go through the death of another loved one. For us it was dad we lost in 2006. Then mom last September and now Ellen. We do know that they are happy now, free from all the pain n sorrow they went through. And I know God doesn't give us more than we can handle. But it's hard to keep your head up when these are happening so close together.

ThanQ so much for all your love and support, Ellen will be sadly missed!

I HAVE A DREAM

I have a dream, a song to sing, To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale, You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels Something good in everything I see,
I believe in angels When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream

I have a dream, a fantasy, To help me through reality
And my destination makes it worth the while,
Pushing through the darkness still another mile
I believe in angels Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream, I'll cross the stream - I have a dream

I have a dream, a song to sing,
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale, You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream, I'll cross the stream - I have a dream
I have a dream, a song to sing

THE BATTLE

I wrote before in my "COURAGE" post about Ellen and I wanted to give you an update. But, first, I want to vent if you don't mind?

Ellen has fought this ugly, unforgiving battle with Cancer for the past seven years. She's gone through losing her breasts, her hair, through the pain of Chemo AND Radiation. She also came through reconstructive surgery of caging some of her vertebrae and surgery on her brain and on one of her eyes. She came through the doctors trying to rid the Cancer in her spine, and it also attacked her bone marrow.

In September, just before mom passed away, we got word from Ellen that it came back into her brain. Mom was going through some very serious health problems of her own so we thought it best not to put that on mom's plate.

Ellen told us that they were gonna try and shrink the Cancer in her brain but not to get her hopes up. She was truly living one day at a time. Then they told her to go home and enjoy the quality of life that she has left.

At that time, along with the pain n sorrow we all were feeling, I asked God that she would be able to enjoy one more Christmas with her family. We were there, her honey was there, all her kids and her 2 granddaughters. I was sooo happy she was here with us one more Christmas! ( Just like last year we shared a special Christmas with mom.) God heard and granted my prayer! At Christmas, we saw how her little body was getting very weak. Now it was up to the Lord when He will take her home.

It was so very hard seeing Ellen go through this battle for so many years. She is one of the strongest, bravest, and most courageous woman we've all loved and some of us has grown to love.

Ellen was admitted into the hospital last Thursday cuz she was vomitting for days. When we went to see her over the weekend, it just broke our hearts to see her suffer so much!! It's killing me inside to even talk about it! Tonight Rocky called Bruce and through both their tears he told Bruce they didn't do the procedure and he said that Ellen is being transferred to the Hospice part of the hospital to live out the rest of her days. Rocky told Bruce it could be anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks if that.

In your prayers, please pray for Ellen to be as comfortable and pain free as possible and for God to give her peace of mind during these last few days. ThanQ!

God Bless You And Warm Wishes

MODERN BABY MAKING

A little boy goes to his father and asks, "daddy, how was I born?"

The father answers: "Well son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! Your mom and I first got together in a chat room. Then I set up a date via and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall. And since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little pop-up appeared that said;

YOU'VE GOT MALE!
